It’s a 60th Reunion hosted by the Chapel Hill Folk Dancers! The Chapel Hill International Folk Dancers are celebrating our 60th year this fall along with the Triangle folk dance community.

Celebration of 60 years of international folk dancing in the Durham / Chapel Hill area. Starts with Friday (11/15) night dancing in Raleigh (https://www.trianglefolkdancers.org/home/rifd), continues with Saturday (11/16) dancing to both live and recorded music in Carrboro, and concludes with Sunday (11/17) brunch in Chapel Hill.

Cost: $30 suggested donation; $40 dinner

Friday (11/15) 6:30 – 10:00pm

Raleigh International Folk Dancers: Join our sister dance group for their regular night of dancing from 6:30 to 10:00 PM.

Glen Eden Pilot Park – 1500 Glen Eden Drive, Raleigh, NC 27612

There will be live music by local band, Rakia, from 8:00-9:00 PM. (The RIFD website is rfid.org.)

Saturday (11/16): 10:00am – 10:30pm

We’ve reserved the Carrboro Century Center (CCC) for our main event with live and recorded music and a catered dinner. It will run from 10:00 AM to 10:30 PM with breaks for setting up the music and the catered dinner.

10:00-11:30 AM Request dancing to recorded music. If you would like to make a request ahead of the event, please send it to: Weimin Ye moc.oohay@8m3w56y.

11:30-1:00 PM Break for lunch.  Bring your own bag lunch or find something in the neighborhood. There are a number of places to get food and drinks within walking distance. We recommend you bring your own refillable water bottle. Alcohol is not allowed on the CCC premises.

1:00-5:00 PM Dancing to recorded and live music

5:00-6:00 PM Set up for dinner.

6:00-7:15 PM Catered Dinner.

7:15-7:45 PM  Clear room for dancing.

7:45-8:00 PM – Gather for a group photo.

8:00-10:30 PM Evening music and dancing.

10:30-11:00 PM Clear room and leaving building by  11:00 PM.

Sunday (11/17): Brunch 11:00am – 3:00pm
